Ropes for playgrounds are the result of the natural evolution of skills acquired over time and our team’s desire to grow and explore new horizons.
Our business was born and developed in the industrial fishing sector, where our products are required to regularly operate in the hostile and wearing conditions typical of the maritime environment. In fact, fishing ropes are used to ‘lower’ nets into the sea, tow them to great depths and bring them back on board, soaked in water and laden with the catch they contain.
These ropes carry out these operations by continuously running on pulleys and winches and being subjected to the aggression of salt water and atmospheric agents, both on board the vessels and at sea.
The long and valuable experience we have gained in such a complex and challenging sector has allowed us, over the years, to decline our products into other versions, capable of meeting the needs of new markets and new areas of application. These include agriculture and, more recently, playgrounds.

The reinforced rope is generally assembled, with other specific accessories, within modular play structures of various types, by specialized companies. The creation and installation of such constructions are preceded by careful planning, which requires the respect and harmonization of numerous aspects. The objective of such precautions is to obtain installations that are as safe as possible but also sustainable and inclusive, that is, environmentally friendly and accessible to all, including users with physical, motorial and/or cognitive limitations or disabilities of various kinds.

RELIABILITY, DURABILITY and COMFORT… WITH AN EYE TO THE DESIGN!
In the context of playgrounds, while continuing to perform its basic support function, the rope must also contribute to the comfort and design of the play and recreational facilities of which it is an integral part.
The textile covering, for example, comes into close contact with users and must be pleasant to the touch, but at the same time resistant to constant rubbing. Consider ladders, catwalks and rope pyramids, all of which people grab onto and lean on with their hands and shoes. In addition, the rope must withstand the action of the weather, such as sun, rain and temperature fluctuations, while maintaining the factory characteristics, such as the color and uniformity of the outer color, as long as possible.
Our playground ropes are coated with colored yarns provided with a protective treatment to delay as much as possible the inevitable fading caused by exposure to ultraviolet rays. These yarns are available in various colors to meet different design requirements.
In play areas, therefore, the rope casts off the sober and rigorous garments typical of industrial environments and, while maintaining the essentiality and functionality of its role, indulges in a more colorful, lively and captivating image. But beware, this is not a matter of vanity!
