\nAN EFFECTIVE BARRIER AGAINST CORROSION<\/h2>\n

Hot-dip galvanizing is an industrial process by which a zinc coating is applied to steel products to protect them from corrosion.
\nThe galvanizing process can take place using various methods, but hot dip galvanizing is the most suitable method for protecting steel rope wire<\/strong> from external aggression and thus improving both its performance and durability.<\/p>\n

THE PROCESS OF HOT DIP GALVANISING STEEL WIRE IS CARRIED OUT THROUGH A SERIES OF MAIN STEPS THAT OCCUR IN LINE IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER:<\/h3>\n

  1. Surface preparation: <\/strong> The steel wire is thoroughly cleaned to remove all traces of dirt, grease, rust or other contaminants that could hinder zinc adhesion. This process is generally carried out by degreasing, acid pickling and fluxing.<\/li>\n
  2. Immersion in molten zinc:<\/strong> the steel wire is immersed in a bath of molten zinc at a temperature of approximately 450\u00b0C. The molten zinc reacts with the steel surface to form an iron-zinc alloy<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n
  3. Removal of excess zinc: <\/strong> Once removed from the zinc bath, the wire is drained to remove excess zinc.<\/li>\n
  4. Cooling:<\/strong> The wire is cooled in air or water.<\/li>\n
  5. Quality control:<\/strong> The galvanized wire is finally checked for thickness and uniformity of the zinc coating.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
