Information on the unwinding of cables

Winding the reels:

Must be carried out by placing the reel on a
horizontal axis supported by two stands on
each end. It is wrong to wind the cables by keeping
the reel still on the ground on its side

Winding the coils:

Where wire ropes have to be unwourd from colis, a correct way of
carrying out this operation is to place the end of the rope on
the ground  and to rotate the coil. Should this be too heavy
to carry out, place the coil on a rotating plate and pull the end

The incorrect observance of these winding instructions
results in twistung and twinings that can form
loopsholes thus causing irriversable damage
to the wire ropes.
