Main defining characteristics of our steel cables

Diameter: by the diameter of a rope we mean the diameter of a limited circumference to a straight line, expressed in millimetres

Formation: number of cores, the number and bedding of the strands and the wires that make them

Winding direction: this is the sense in which the wires and strands are wound around the cable core

Breaking load:

the breaking load of a rope depends mainly on the resistence to breakage of the single wires and the composition of the rope itself

Proctective coating
of the wires
:

the elementary wires of the rope are polished ( protected by a light coat of grease) or galvanized
